University Professor Paola Aguilar is in debt from years of fertility treatments. So when THE Political Party offers her a substantial paycheck to help them understand the Hispanic/Latino/Latina/Latinx/Latine Vote, she reluctantly takes the job. Can she help these political strategists understand all of the nuances of her community to save the election? Or will her own journey in reproductive health ultimately be more important than who controls the White House?
Written by Bernardo Cubría "The Hispanic Latino/Latina/ Latinx/Latine Vote" explores the complexities of identity and voting within the diverse Hispanic and Latinx communities in the U.S. The play unfolds through a series of vignettes that highlight the experiences of various characters as they navigate issues of culture, politics, and representation. It addresses themes of intersectionality, the significance of civic engagement, and the power of collective voices in shaping societal change.
