Bocón and TuYo Theatre will be creating an original play for young audiences centering on the lives of three girls and their possible futures. It will explore the themes of female identity in a border town and stereotypes women of color must confront all their lives.

This play will have seasoned professionals working alongside young emerging artists. Thematically, it will open up the conversation for young girls about what it means to be seen as a female in our predominantly Latino community; what is imposed upon us as girls and women, and how do we respond to it?
